Joining a religious community is not a job.
It is a lifetime commitment serving God in a community of like-minded people
living together under vows, normally of poverty, chastity and obedience.
Joining the community takes several years of discernment,  living and working in the community before taking vows.

Before you start, there are several conditions that apply to all who wish to join a community.

You must be:
* aged over 21,
* single with no dependant relatives,
* free from debt,
* in good health,
* a member of a church in the Anglican Communion.

You don't need any formal academic qualifications but everyone joining a community should expect to do their share of household tasks and other manual work and, under guidance, undertake some study.

Some communities may differ in their conditions for entry.

If you're still interested, talk to your vicar or someone in church ministry who knows you well and make contact with the Novice Guardians of two or three communities and arrange to visit them........and pray that you will know God's will for you.
